What Are Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions?

Milka eyelash extensions are made of polyester, soft and lush fibres with a high gloss finish. They are made to look like a perfectly shaped natural eyelash and come in varying curls, lengths, thicknesses and colours. Our stylist will discuss your options during the consultation. During Your Eyelash Extension Application, You Will Comfortably Recline Onto A Beauty Bed With Your Eyes Closed. The Application Of Eyelash Extensions Is Painless And Wonderfully Relaxing And Rejuvenating.Clients Typically Fall Asleep Then Awaken To Longer, Thicker, Darker And More Voluminous Lashes.
During The Application Of Eyelash Extensions, Your Stylist Will Isolate An Individual Natural Lash, Then; He/She Will Expertly Bond One Eyelash Extension To One Natural Lash. This Technique Creates A Seamless Look And Feel As If These Eyelash Extensions Were Your Own.
To Ensure Your Safety During And After The Procedure, Eyelash Extensions Are Never Applied To Your Skin; Eyelash Extensions Are Attached Only To Your Natural Lashes.

How Long Do Milka Lashes Last?

As the natural eyelash lifecycle is between 60 to 90 days, at any given time, your natural eyelashes are at different stages of their growth. As an eyelash completes its lifecycle and falls off, so does the semi-permanent eyelash extension that is attached to it.
We recommend refills at 2 - 3 week intervals, in order to maintain your optimum eyelash look.

Can I Apply Mascara To My Eyelash Extensions?

Yes you can! However, be sure to use mascara that is water soluble, or one designed specifically for eyelash extensions. Ask us for a Milka recommended eyelash extensions mascara, for best results.

Can I Shower, Go To The Gym, Pool Or Spa, While Wearing Milka Lashes?

Yes. Milka applies specially formulated bonding agent allows you to do all these things, worry-free.
< Please allow 24 hours for the bonding agent to fully cure before exposing the area to water or chemicals.

Is It Safe?

The bonding agent is the most important component of the eyelash application procedure due to health risks, as well as its impact on the longevity of the eyelash extension.

As Eyelash Extensions are adhered to your natural lashes and they do not come into contact with your skin, you should have minimal chance of having an allergic reaction. However there is a small amount of people who have an allergy to adhesives and may have a mild reaction. In such cases eyelashes will be immediately removed.

Can I Receive Extensions If My Eyelashes Are Permed Or Tinted?

Our glue is black in colour and completely coats your lashes. The extensions have a natural curl, so it is not necessary to perm or tint your lashes before the procedure.

If you permed or tinted your lashes, it is advisable to wait 7-10 days, before you have extensions applied, in order to ensure there is no reaction between the tint/perming solution and the eyelash extension glue. You must not perm or tint your lashes after having extensions applied.

How Do I Care For My Eyelash Extensions?

Milka eyelash extensions are easy to maintain. Avoid rubbing your eyes. Avoid oil based cleansers, lotions or makeup removers. Do not allow waterproof mascara to come into contact with your extensions. Do ask your Milka stylist about our special lash care products. Your Milka professional will provide you with detailed care instructions.

Can I Wear My Contact Lenses With These?

Yes you can wear contact lenses but not while lashes are being applied. Wear your glasses to your appointment so your stylist can design a set of lashes to suit your lifestyle.

You May Not Be A Suitable Candidate For Eyelash Extensions If You:

have had an allergic reaction to eyelash extension adhesive or gel pads in the past
have sensitive eyes prone to watering, itching, swelling, or redness
have an eye infection or medical condition that impacts your eye and lash health
have recently undergone eye surgery or cosmetic eye treatments - eg. LASIK, eyeliner tattoo, lash perm
cannot lie still on your back for a long time due to back problems or pregnancy
cannot keep your eyes fully closed and still due to light sensitivity, eye shape etc.
are unable to follow the advised aftercare eg. using oil based make-up and cleansers which affects longevity of the lashes
have unrealistic expectations about eyelash extensions - the thickness and length of extensions that can be applied will be limited to the strength of your natural lashes

How Are Eyelash Extensions Removed?

There are two methods:
1. Come into a salon and let the professionals remove them with a special remover.
2. Let the eyelash extensions slowly fall out by themselves. This can take up to two months. It is imperative that you never attempt to remove your eyelash extensions yourself, as the glue is very strong and you could damage or pull out your natural lashes.
